Rant of the day.

What follows is a short snippet of my conversation with a good friend of mine. I believe most of my friends are aware of how I feel about rl-friends vs e-friends.
(Slightly edited for clarity. Googlechat posts are so messy :/)

 T:  hahaha

i like your line 'i'm done with rl friends'

 me:  lol

that just came out

 T:  I wish I could get new circles of friends too to be honest

but it gets harder as you age
the time investment per potential person both ways decreases

 me:  yea

you see...

i've come to the conclusion that i will only have rl friends that will not impose on me

like for example;

people whom are friends with each other

good friends even

but dont feel a need to "meet up" every weekend or any other day 

just because they feel that friendship warrants some sorta upkeep

it honestly doesnt.

i have a bunch of friends that im still good friends with even if we've not seen each other since high school

or not seen each other at all since we knew each other via internets

 T:  I think perhaps the mode of 'catching up' is different for different people

some people feel the need to physically meet but not neccessary any quality time either

its just for the sake of being there

 me:  yeah i think thats just one big farce

you can spend quality time with a friend when you chat

or on the phone

 T:  hahaha

yeah i agree

but i guess yes, some you know mode of contact and communication could be different

at the end of the day, as long as no one judges anyone or you know makes people feel guilty and is open minded about other people

then WORLD PEACE

 T:  Virtual worlds are better right

 me:  yeah
